Skill-based..Hohohoho...

Assalamu'alaikum and salam muhibah..

Yesterday, 14th April 2009, I got my Skill-based 2 Exam. For this one, we need to calculate VLSM plus, configure the router. It's not configuring in Packet Tracer, but using REAL devices. Hohoho.. Those things drived me crazy for one day! One day because the days before I made up my mind not to think and not to bother about my Skill-based. Heheh.. (Berlagak kot)..

When the time came, 4 p.m, my heartbeat became faster and my nerves vibrated. My exam schedule was 4 to 5 p.m. There were 10 of us, we were given an hour to finish up all the tasks. The examiners were En. Abdullah, En. Rahiwan, En. Che Yahaya, En. Sahli, En. Fadli, En. Arifin, En. Ramiza. All they did when the exam was running, was chatting, and sometimes took a look at students works. And trying to scare students with "Hah, ni tolak markah ni", "Tanya sekali tolak 2 markah", "Hari ni takde tambah2 markah, semua tolak je". Huhuhuhu.. But actually they didn't do it, they prefered to help students. Hehehe..

My first task, was calculating the VLSM. I just remembered the method that Sam used to teach in the morning of the skill-based day. But, I got nervous and screwed up a few small requirements that the question asked. Huhuhuhu.. I was so 'blurred' that time. I though, "Habis la skill-based aku kali ni".. Uhuhu.. =( However it is, I must finish and fill up all the tables. So I did. I raised my hand and En. Arifin came to check my IP address first before configuring the router. There were 2 cells that I got wrong. And I was a little bit frustrated actually....

Then, I went at the back of the lab to take the cable and put into the console port of the router - patch panel of the PC I used. After configured, I took the end of the cable at the console port of the router, and plugged in to the Fa0/0 port of the router. So I took another 2 cables, for second PC - switch, and for the Fa0/1 of the router - switch. After completed configuring the IP address for each PC, I need to ping them each other. At first I got a little problems, then I turned to another way so that I won't waste my time cause it was nearly 5! Huhuhu... So I just did what I could in that very short time. I raised my hand, En. Fadli came. He said early that he wanted to check my progress, because all the male examiners keep calling me, "Huu.. jangan memain woo.. taekwon-do gangsa tu.. nanti dia belasah hang baru tau", En. Rahiwan's. Huhuhu... They didn't know that participants of my weight category are only four people. 1 of us got bye. So, no wonder I can get the bronze medal. Heheheh...

En. Fadli marked my paper in front of me, and I knew my marks already... For some people maybe it's "Eh okeylah tu..". But, for me, it's not enough. I want more. I wanted to be among the best. However, I'm grateful of the marks given compared to my efforts I put on this.. Ish3... Alhamdulillah... Syukran jazilan to all lecturers/examiners, and my friends especially to Sam, for teaching and helping me a lot.
